QUESTIONS WE GET

I am very sceptical about shakes - why shakes????

We totally understand your scepticism and want to address your concerns right now. Our shakes are highly nutritious liquid meals created by leading nutritional scientists - the word 'shake' does them a huge injustice. You only have 2 shakes a day - one for breakfast and one for lunch. They allow us to control your food intake in the nicest tasting way possible. They contain the optimal amounts of protein, carbohydrates, fibre, vitamins and minerals and equate to a filling meal. Our shakes stop you from being hungry and taste amazing. It is also important to know that the shakes are only a minor part of the dietary plan - you have fresh fruit with your breakfast shake and a huge fresh salad or big vegetable soup with your lunchtime shake. Dinner is a normal healthy meal of your choice (a shake free experience!).

I have not exercised for years, can I join Diet Club?

Yes you can. We have beginners sessions that ease you into exercise.

How much exercise do I need to do?

We recommend at least 4-5 exercise sessions a week (either with us or by yourself). One of the fundamental principles we teach is that muscle burns fat and that exercise builds muscle!

Can I join if I'm not very overweight?

Yes you can. We welcome clients who want to lose just a little and get back into fitness.

What if I don't like to drink the 2 daily shakes?

We also have a meal bar replacement for those that don't like liquid meals. Please also note that you only have 2 shakes a day - the rest of your diet is a normal healthy eating plan

How much can I expect to lose?

With commitment to the plan you can reasonably expect to lose 1 or more kg of body fat and 1-2 cm around the waist per week.

I am a diabetic. Is this programme safe?

es it is. Healthy lifestyle changes can be very beneficial, especially with type 2 diabetes. But we always recommend that you talk to your GP or medical professional before embarking on a weight loss programme.

I have a busy social life through my work. Will this programme still work for me?

Yes. We will show you how to cope with your social events in an easy and manageable way.

I am fearful of dieting - I want to lose weight but I am scared of joining something new

Our team understands the fears surrounding dieting and exercising - our motto is 'feel the fear and get the support you need to do it anyway!' The weekly group meetings are a fabulous way to access support from people who are working hard to lose weight and get fit

I have sore knees. Can I join Fit Club?

Yes you can. But we always recommend that you talk to your GP or medical professional before joining us. We also have a practitioner list here on the Fit Club page of physiotherapists and osteopaths that we recommend.

I exercise in a gym regularly. Will I be challenged by your fitness classes?

Completely. You will find that working out outdoors and in a group is very challenging and rewarding.
